A turnover clean is more comprehensive than a standard residential maintenance visit. Every area a guest will see, touch, use, or judge is addressed before the next arrival.

Bedrooms

  • All surfaces dusted and wiped including nightstands, lamps, and headboards

Walkthrough Before Departure

Before leaving every property, we conduct a room-by-room walkthrough. Anything that does not meet the standard gets addressed before we lock up. You should never receive a cleanliness complaint from a guest who stayed in a property we cleaned.

Beyond the Clean.

Linen Management

If you provide your own linens, we strip departing guest beds, bag soiled linens, and make fresh beds on the same visit. If laundry facilities are on-site, we can run linens through the wash and remake beds within the same turnover window depending on the property size and booking timeline.

Damage & Condition Reporting

We document and report any damage, missing items, or out-of-the-ordinary conditions observed during the turnover. Hosts receive a condition note after every clean covering anything that requires attention before the next guest arrives. This gives you a documented record for any guest claim disputes on the Airbnb or VRBO platform.

Restocking Coordination

If you maintain a supply inventory at the property, we track and report low or depleted items such as toiletries, paper products, and kitchen consumables during the turnover. Restocking itself is available if supplies are on-site or arranged in advance.

Post-Guest Deep Cleans

After a long-stay booking or a guest group that was hard on the property, a standard turnover clean may not be sufficient. A post-guest deep clean addresses grout, appliances, baseboards, and any areas that sustained heavier use. Available on request between bookings or at regular intervals.

Short-term rental turnovers are time-sensitive in a way that standard residential cleaning is not. A guest checks out at 11 a.m. The next guest arrives at 3 p.m. The window is four hours and the property has to be fully ready before it closes.

Standard Home & Space is based in Downers Grove. We serve DuPage County properties and have the scheduling flexibility that comes from operating close to the markets we serve. When you book a turnover, we confirm the window, arrive at the start of it, and complete the property to standard before your next guest arrives.

For hosts with consistent booking patterns, we can establish a recurring turnover arrangement that syncs with your calendar. For hosts with irregular bookings, we handle each turnover individually. Both arrangements are available with no contract commitment.
